More about Prophetic Nights
This is one of our favorite things we do here at Daystar because we get to interact with so many different people from many backgrounds and churches. Beginning at 6:45 pm, people can make an appointment with our host(ess) for a 15 minute session sometime during the service. Prophetic ministry is for individuals 16 and older. Anyone under 16 would need to be accompanied by either a parent, legal guardian, or pastoral leader. Couples wanting prophetic ministry together must be married. Prophetic ministry in the rooms begins at 8:00 pm and is over at 10:00 pm. If you have an individual appointment during the evening, we are happy to record your session using our tape recorders. Please note: You can bring a blank tape or you can purchase one from our bookstore for $4. You are also welcome to bring your own recording device (some cell phones offer this feature) to hold and operate during your session. All our teams consist of 3 or 4 Christians from different churches in Atlanta. They have received training at Daystar and all have one goal...to listen to the Lord's heart of love toward you and use what He shows them in their spirits to encourage you and provoke you into a more intimate relationship with Him. You never have to be concerned about being corrected or embarrassed and we definitely do not speak directional prophecy (who to marry, etc.).
The service begins at 7:30 with 45 minutes of worship. We then transition into a time that may include teaching or testimonies and this part of the evening may shift or change as the Holy Spirit leads. Prophetic appointments are taking place during this time as well. This part of the evening is recorded on CD should you desire to listen again to the teaching or ministry you have heard. We will then transition into an hour of prophetic ministry in our sanctuary. We have a team down front weekly who minister prophetically as the Lord leads. This part of the evening also is recorded should you receive any words during this time. These CDs are available in our bookstore after our service for $5.
Please also check the Events section of our website as we will periodically be having brief teachings or training times prior to the prophetic ministry in the main room.
(Childcare is provided for ages 0-6 and 7-12 during this time. Please note that all other children must stay with their parents during the service and their appointments.)
Involvement on Prophetic Teams
We believe that all can prophesy! If you are interested in joining our prophetic teams, whether you attend Daystar or another church, please call the church office at 770.493.4809 or email Karen@daystaratlanta.org.
You will need to complete our Prophetic Training Set, which includes a manual and CDs, which is available in our Daystar bookstore. Once you have completed going through that training, we will set up a brief interview with you either over the phone or in person. You will also need to provide a reference from someone who has overseen you in a ministry setting prior to the interview. We also suggest that people joining our teams are connected with a church body. Once you are approved, you can commit to serving on a team as it fits your schedule. We will integrate you at a pace you feel comfortable with... this is a safe place to spread your wings!
